Incursus: Eternal funeral trance
15/06/14 || sincan
Raw, no not raw food, raw black metal is the label on this style according to a relatively large encyclopedia. I don’t find it rawer than any other thing labelled as black metal. But that doesn’t have to mean that this album is bad, or? Just that some labels are weirdly used.
It is actually hard to guess that this band comes from America when hearing the music since it has a more European vibe/atmosphere. The vocals are a mixture between wheezing and harsh, the production is relatively low-fi but still you can hear everything you need to hear. The guitar riffs are the centre, that’s for sure, but the bass and the drums are working their asses of somewhere there in the background, a little bit hidden in the production, in a good way actually. I’m actually surprised, something that doesn’t stink in the stub section!
Well, I guess that I can still be surprised with my pants down, still. Yeah, it is that big.
7/10: American BM that doesn’t work as a lumberjack.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
